1 Morning Prayer REDESIGNING OUR PRESENCES
Continental Meeting for Asia-Oceania (10-20 September 2009) Morning Prayer

2 A Universal Love The words of Fr. Alberione 14 September
Be Daughters of St. Paul! In heart, mentality and virtue, he was very similar to Jesus. Therefore: universal love; a religious spirit more than religious observances. Be seekers of souls; not lovers of sects. […] Paul knew how to relate to Jews, Greeks, Romans, mountain dwellers, fishermen, sailors, philosophers, nobles and slaves. Let us grow in the virtues, expand our hearts, broaden our perspectives….just like Jesus, who came for everyone and who draws everyone to himself. Give Jesus Christ Way, Truth and Life through the Holy Spirit (CVV 71).

3 The Word of God Though I was not a slave to any human being, I put
myself in slavery to all people, to win as many as I could. To those under the Law, I became as one under the Law (though I am not), in order to win those under the Law. To those outside the Law, I became as one outside the Law, though I am not outside the Law but under Christ’s law. To the weak, I made myself weak, to win the weak. I accommodated myself to people in all kinds of different situations, so that by all possible means I might bring some to salvation. All this I do for the sake of the gospel, that I may share its benefits with others (1 Co. 9:19-23).

4 Resonances Risonanze

5 Prayer O Mary, may each one of us be enthusiastic about the beauty of the Christian apostolate. May the charity of Christ urge us on. May the spiritual misery of poor humanity move us. Grant that we may feel the needs of childhood, of adolescence, of adulthood, of old age. Grant that vast Africa, immense Asia, promising Oceania, troubled Europe, the two Americas may exercise a powerful attraction in our being. May the apostolate of example and word, of prayer and the press, of films, radio and television, of the souls in purgatory, win over the hearts of many generous persons, even to the point of the most heroic sacrifices.
