Cubism The Cubist painters wanted to emphasize the two-dimensionality of the canvas. So they reduced and fractured objects into geometric forms. Picasso and Braque abstracted their works so that they were reduced to just a series of overlapping planes mostly in monochromatic browns, grays, or blacks.

Student Project Create a cubist inspired photomontage.
Medium- Photography Use the influence of the cubist style to break your work up into planes to recreate one solid work of art. We will use 24 shots (at least) to create our work.

TIPS For A Successful Project
Practice before your final work. Stand in one place! Whole scene = at least 24 shots Overlap what you are shooting. Don’t simply shoot a straight line! Look up and down. Get close!
