Life Made Better Not easy or without difficulty
John 16:33 – ... In the world ye shall have tribulation ... We know from experience that life is not easy.

I Samuel 8:19-20 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; …we will have a king over us; …go out before us, and fight our battles. People wanted a someone to “fight their battles” for them.

John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. Thinking He will take care of all their physical and mental needs. Jesus rejected this notion of the world’s version of a king

Seek God and Set Mind Toward God
Colossians 3:2 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, ... Psalms 119:1-2 – Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Word of God washes away worldly thinking

Envy (Galatians 5:21) Fits of Rage (Galatians 5:19) Sexual Immorality (I Corinthians 6:18) Drunkenness (Galatians 5:21) Gossiping (Proverbs 18:8) Lying (Proverbs 12:22)

Following the Moral Will of God
Life is difficult enough without adding these to the equation. If you are not following the moral will of God, you are not in His will. Working against God’s will for us.

For Our Benefit Deuteronomy 4:5-6 – See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may follow them ... for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” John 10:10 “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Not Immune from Difficulties
Psalms 34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous: ... Matthew 5:45 – ... maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

He is With Us through Difficult Times
Romans 5: but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: Hebrews 13:5 …for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. I John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Conclusion Things are tough here in this world
God is with us, and has given us a guidelines to follow to make wise decisions. Not only does this help us, we glorify Him for others to see. When we go through the tough times, we grow in our relationship with God, because we can get through them, because He is with us. And when we stray from God’s way we have forgiveness through His son Jesus Christ.
