Every year more than 10 million children die of hunger and preventable diseases – that’s over 30,000 per day, or one every 3 seconds. There are an estimated 163,000,000 orphans worldwide. Some of these orphans have lost one parent, some both. Death squads in Brazil can earn up to $50 for killing a street child.
