Measuring DC Current Using the meter as an Ammeter

Measuring DC Current 1. Complete the hookup without making the final connection to the power source. A

3. Rotate the dial to the maximum setting on the DCA Range
Measuring DC Current 3. Rotate the dial to the maximum setting on the DCA Range 4. Make the connection to the power source to send a current through the circuit.

5. Reduce the DC Amp setting step-by-step until a reading is obtained.

1. Connect the meter leads, one to each end of a resistor.
