Assessment for Unit FORMATIVE PRACTICE: designing a fitness warm-up activity (that falls within the guidelines of the fitness terminology), prepare the necessary equipment and lead it. Starting next week you will be in charge of your own warm-ups. (15 minutes in length) Participation Self-Assessment SUMMATIVE: Assignment today that will also be the first piece of your portfolio

Self Self advocacy – the ability to speak and act on behalf of one’s self – involves self determination which is taking control and making decisions that affect one’s life Self starter – one who works on one’s own initiative without bringing others down or being influenced negatively by others Self monitor – being conscious of what one is doing and saying; recognizes behaviour of self ad checks that against others and social norms and standards and rules Self motivator – ability to satisfy a desire or goal without being influenced by another person Self assessor – gathering info about self, reflecting on it in order to understand why you are where you are or to make necessary changes to where you want to be.
