CPVC Can Be and Is Recycled
In-Process Recycling Post-industrial / Post-consumer Recycling Chlorinated Polyvinylchloride (CPVC) is a thermoplastic material used for plastic pipe potable water systems, fire sprinkler and industrial applications. CPVC is a vinyl based product.

In-Process CPVC Recycling
ASTM Standards allow the use of in-house rework material. Rework material is often referred to as regrind. Rework material is made from recycled, pre-consumer material that is fed back into the manufacturing process at a designated ratio of rework and virgin CPVC material. Virtually no CPVC processing waste is put into a landfill

Vinyl Recycling In Summary
More than 99% of all manufactured vinyl compound ends up in a finished product, due to widespread post-industrial recycling (Vinyl Institute, 2010) More than one billion pounds of vinyl were recovered and recycled into useful products in North America in 1997 (Principia Partners, 1999) Automated sorting technology for large-scale recycling operations is being led by the vinyl industry Vinyl recycling facilities are located throughout the US and Canada (
