Ascribe Verb- to assign or refer to( as cause or source), attribute
Synonyms- impute credit attribute Some people ascribe the construction of the pyramids of Giza to the Egyptians but others think aliens built these great structures.

VITRIOLIC (Adj.) bitter, sarcastic; highly caustic or biting (like a strong acid) Sentence: The picture was very vitriolic (I am not making fun of Christianity)
