Nettrekker Research the scientist and their contributions to the atomic model that is assigned to you. SUBSTITUTION Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement Research the major contributions your scientist made to the developing of the atomic model. Log into CPSB, go to resources then digital media resources, choose Nettrekker and Search History of the atom. Read and record the significant discoveries of your scientist. This task uses iPads Nettrekker Learning Objective(s): PS-H-B1: analyze the development of the modern atomic theory from a historical perspective. SI-H-A1 The student is able to write a testable question or hypothesis when given a topic. Atomic History using Quizlet
Create 5 questions on your scientist to use on a Quizlet. AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement. 1. Submit 5 questions and answers about your scientist for the teacher to use to develop a Quizlet. 2. Go to quizlet.com and search for your teacher’s Quizlet. 3. Learn about the scientists your classmates researched by playing one of the following: FLASHCARDS, LEARN, MATCH OR GRAVITY. This task uses: iPads Quizlet Learning Objective(s): Students will be able to analyze the information obtained and reproduce questions for the class to review. SI-H-A3 The students will use technology when appropriate to enhance lab investigations and presentations of findings. TEACHER NOTES: Teacher’s name/ Letissia Sittig/ School: A.M. Atomic History using Educreations
Today you will be creating an educreations slide including your Scientist, time frame of scientist work and contribution to the atomic model. MODIFICATION Technology allows for significant task redesign. Open the Educreation application The pencil in the top center is to the write. The eraser in the top center is to erase. . You may also use the refresh arrow to the top left to erase. You may choose the color of your text. The plus sign on the right is to add typed text or photos. Press the capital letter A to add typed text Press the photo to add photos. Once you have done that, press the search button and type the image you desire. Choose an image to add to your presentation. Press the arrow on the bottom right to advance to the next slide of your presentation. Today you will be creating an Educreations slide including your Scientist, time frame of scientist work and contribution to the atomic model. When your visual part of the presentation is finished, press the microphone(upper right) and the audio specialist should narrate the slides as they are advanced. When your presentation is complete, press the box with the arrow at the top right of the page to save. This task uses: iPads Educreation App Learning Objective(s): SI-H-A1 The student is able to write a testable question or hypothesis when given a topic. R Peer Review Go to your teacher’s Blackboard.
Share your Educreations in Blackboard for peer review. REDEFINITION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable. Go to your teacher’s Blackboard. Click on Discussion board tab. Post your Educreations presentation for peer review. Review at least two peer presentations and provide suggestions or ask questions for clarification. This task uses: iPad Blackboard Educreations video Learning Objective(s): SI-H-A1 The student is able to write a testable question or hypothesis when given a topic. SI-H-A3 The students will use technology when appropriate to enhance lab investigations and presentations of findings. TEACHER NOTES: Teacher’s name/ Letissia Sittig/ School: A.M. Barbe High Louisiana State Standard: PS-H-B1, SI-H-A1 & A3 Grade Level/Subject: 11th / Chemistry Special Directions/Considerations: teachers will need to have completed Bb201 and create a discussion board for students to add their content Activity Evaluation: Prerequisites for students:
