The Academy of Health Prince George’s Community College Prince George’s County Public Schools and Prince George’s Community College will opened the first Middle College High School in the State of Maryland, July The Academy of Health Prince George’s Community College located on the campus of Prince George’s Community College. The four year program blends high school and college work through the use of dual enrollment credits. At the completion of the four year program, students meet all requirements for a high school diploma and two years of college credit. PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS  PRINCE GEORGE’S COMMUNITY COLLEGE The Academy of Health Prince George’s Community College Target Population and Application Process Target Population: Rising 9th Graders, 100 Students per grade level, beginning with a 9th grade class, Current Enrollment 407 students Years 1 thru 4. The application process ensures: Fifty percent of the seats will go to students from low-socio economic homes, and/or first general college; Equity of participation from all areas of Prince George’s County; Admission is contingent upon student participation in a summer Bridge Program. PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS  PRINCE GEORGE’S COMMUNITY COLLEGE The Academy of Health Prince George’s Community College Transportation, Food, and Dress Code Transportation is provided via pickups at central hubs throughout the county; Specific locations and schedules will be developed once the students are selected; Breakfast and lunch is served in the “Owls” Nest” Dress code – appropriate Governance The school is a Prince George’s County Public School located on the campus of Prince George’s Community College. The principal, teachers, and staff are twelve-month PGCPS employees. Day-to-day operations of the school are under the direction of the principal.
