Dihybrid Cross
2
Dihybrid Cross A cross showing 2 traits
Tall plants and purple flowers (TtPp) How do you find the probability of these 2 traits? Cross pollination of the 2 hybrids TtPp x TtPp
4
Question? Between the cross of TtPp x ttpp, what probability of pea plants would be short and white? Is there an easier way of solving dihybrid crosses?

Probability Rule of Multiplicity
Multiplicity = multiply the probabilities of each event happening separately Probability or Chance Ex. tossing a coin = ½ probability of coin landing on heads If a coin is tossed 6 times, what is the probability that it will land on heads each time? Tossing a coin: there is a ½ chance or probability that it will be heads. If coin is tossed again, ½ chance it will be heads. To determine the probability of two or more independent events occurring together, you merely multiply the probabilities of each event happening separately. Probability of getting 2 heads is ½ X ½ = ¼, for the probability of 3 heads, ½ x ½ x ½ = 1/8 A coin toss presents a probability for half the amount of time it is tossed. The prediction is that half of the time it will be heads, however, there is a small probability that if a coin is tossed 6 times, 1/36 probability that the coin will end on heads
