When was the business founded?
The business was fonded in 1962 by our father Corrado Costanzo who started to work at the age of eight as a baker.

What do you produce? Do you export abroad?
We produce mainly martorana fruit, nougat, dry biscuits, almond pastries, honey biscuits, granite and ice-creams. What do you produce? Do you export abroad? Yes, we do. Our products are exported in Italy and abroad only on request.

So are you known in Italy and abroad?
Yes,we are well known both in Italy and abroad and you can find our pastry shop in two of the most famous cooking books, the Michelen Guide and Slow Food magazines.

How do you advertise your business?
The best publicity for us is “word of mouth”. We also have a worldwide site, visited by people from all over the world who come to Noto to taste Costanzo’s ice cream.

What kind of customers do you have?
Our customers are families and young people.

What do you do to attract costumers?
Costanzo is a confectionery but it is also a meeting point for young people who use to come here expecially at night and listen to some live music.

What are your specialities?
Our specialities are granite for all tastes and ice creams and the most chosen flavours are : pistachio, nuts, almond, ricotta, tangerine and dark chocolate with orange. How many hours a day do you work? We start working at 6.30 am till 2,00 pm and in the afternoon we start at 4,00 pm and finish at 11,30pm but in summer we don’t go away before 3,00pm and not before than 3,00 am at night.
