U1-L19 ELEVATIONS - STEPS Square and tape finished floor plan to drawing board. Tape elevation drawing paper beneath it, with enough room for your t-square. Lay out all horizontal heights Finished Grade (ground) Floor Line – 0’-8” above finished grade Window and Door Heights – 6’-9” above floor Window Bottom – Varies (generally 4’-0”) Ceiling Line – 8’-0” above floor Ridge Board and Chimney Top - Varies

Project with LIGHT projection lines Darken with HEAVY object lines
U1-L19 ELEVATIONS - STEPS Project straight down from floor plan, with drawing tools, the walls, windows, doors, chimney, and roof – anything visible from OUTSIDE the house. Complete the roof design, add trim details, material symbols, and dimensions. Project with LIGHT projection lines Darken with HEAVY object lines
