The turning mechanism of a maritime target training system is to be redesigned, improved, and optimized. The innovative features of this proposed design are a user friendly interface, Wi-fi and mobile app control program, and durable hardware for in service conditions. The goal is to introduce a state of the art training device that will revolutionize the maritime training curriculum with a heuristic approach. Background Target practice is the key form of military and police firearm training. Optimal Heuristic Training: Learning to shoot while instinctually accounting for extreme environment (wind, water, unstable ground, etc.) Current maritime target systems on the market fall short of true heuristic training. Electronics System Future Work Mechanical Design Perform prototype testing Finalize designs and dimensions Electronic System Assemble electronic components Perform initial testing Software Design Begin early app development Early stages of app integration Objectives Develop a smart device app. Maintain manufacturing affordability for marketability. Maintain quality of materials, practicality of frame design and ease of assembly.
