The GM Proving Grounds is a Secure Facility

Use Your Badge To Swipe Through The Entrance Gate
The badge swipe allows security to know who is in the Proving Grounds-this information is critical in case of emergency Do not use your badge to swipe anyone else in If your badge does not work in the gate, put your badge on the shelf in the gray box next to the gate and push the black button.

Badges Must Be Worn Visibly at All Times

Do NOT Bring Cameras, Phones w/ Operable Camera Function, or Computers with Operable Webcams Employees are FIRED for having camera phones on property You WILL be dismissed from the team for having a camera phone on property

Making Your Cell Phone/ Computer w Webcam GM Legal You can have security put a patch over your camera-You can not take this patch off and reapply it.

There is a phone in the shop you may use to call home
If your parents have an emergency and need to contact you they may call GM Security

Do NOT Bring Unauthorized Computers and Game Playing Devices

Please Check With Your Mentor Before You Bring Anything Into Proving Grounds
Items you bring into the Proving Grounds May Be Confiscated by GM Security and May NOT Be Returned to You

The GM Proving Grounds is a Place of Work and is Operational 24hrs a Day

Employees Working While We Are Present Are Likely Approaching a Project Deadline-Take extra precautions not to disturb their work!

Around the Proving Grounds There is Always Work in Progress Do NOT Touch Put EVERYTHING including tools and chairs back where you found it.

Do Not Take Anything From The Proving Grounds

Put Trash in Appropriately Labeled Trash Receptacles
Food Waste Must Be Placed in Food Waste Bin Only Scrap Metal Goes in the Scrap Metal Bins General Trash Bins Must Be Emptied at the End of Each Work Period

Clean Up After Yourself
Your mother can’t clean up after you at GM

While on property, your mentor is responsible for you (Make sure your mentor always knows where you are-You will be dismissed from the team if your mentor can’t trust you) Conduct yourself as if you are an employee and your boss is always watching you (Security is always watching) NO Horseplay or PDA!
