11 Synchronised Swimming
You can adapt the strokes learnt in swimming for synchronised swimming. All swimming strokes are adapted not for speed but for visual effect and beauty. It is important that as much as the body can be seen above the surface. 15 Personal Survival – Entering Water
In many cases a casualty will have fallen in to water. In these situations it may be necessary to enter the water. The safest way is to climb in, if this is not possible, the straddle jump should be used. Version 2

Head should be kept above the water The hands should scull, shoulder width apart and in front of the body Body should be kept in an upright position and on the spot The leg kick can be eggbeater, breaststroke, scissor or cycling. Pupils should be able to demonstrate a variety of leg kicks and kicking actions and identify which works best for them. Version 2
