6 Benchmarking and the Data
Unbiased Data – includes all sites on the MetaFarms Production Platform Numbers in Isolation Performance measurements (including KPIs) mean very little in and of themselves without a basis of comparison. You can’t just look at numbers in isolation; rather, they need to be compared to an objective standard. Benchmarking Identify Opportunities, Focus on Areas, Profit/Loss, Small Improvements – Big Impact Numbers in Isolation The concept of benchmarking goes back to the idea that performance measurements (including KPIs) mean very little in and of themselves without a basis of comparison. You can’t just look at numbers in isolation; rather, they need to be compared to (or benchmarked against) an objective standard. Identify Opportunities, Multi-Purpose Indicators, Focus on Areas, Profit/Loss, Small Improvements – Big Impact, Look at Potential
