The aim of the lesson is to consider reasons for some global social problems and to find solutions to them.
The objectives:
improving the students’ understanding of worldwide social problems;
motivating the students to realize the importance of social problems and to be willing to help people;

learning a new vocabulary on the topic;
developing speaking skills to express students’ opinion;

5. What social problems occur worldwide
What social problems occur worldwide? Social problems are the general factors that affect and damage society. A social problem is normally a term used to describe problems with a particular area or group of people in the world. Social problems often involve problems that affect real life. Examples can include: crime, incurable diseases, anti-social behavior, poverty, addiction, financial problems, unemployment, terrorism, homelessness, hunger, illiteracy These problems occur in almost every area all over the world, but in some areas it tends to happen more frequently, and to a more severe extent. One social problem can cause another because they are interconnected. In the survey done by the sociologists in Europe in Two percent of the people surveyed said they're still thinking about what the world's biggest problem is. Human population is growing like never before. We are now adding one billion people to the planet every 12 years. That's about 220,000 per day.
The list of problems this is causing, or at least complicating, is a long one.
