Admission Requirements
All applicants who meet minimum requirements will receive a comprehensive review of their application. 11 of the 15 “a-g” courses by the end of 11th grade 3.0 minimum GPA (weighted, capped) ACT Plus Writing or the SAT Reasoning Test

Comprehensive Review – Policy since 2002: Defines merit using multiple measures of accomplishment and promise Considers the personal and school context in which the applicant has demonstrated achievement Requires individual applicant review Holistic method is a form of Comprehensive Review

ELC Process and Outcomes
UC letter encouraging top students from each participating high school to apply is sent in September Top 9 percent from participating high school GPA calculated after a student applies for admission Students know instantly if they qualify for ELC
