1 Sat question In an experiment, a student wants to know the boiling point of a solution of sugar water. The student first measures the boiling point of 100 mL pure distilled water. Then she measures the boiling point of 100 mL of pure distilled water plus 10 grams of sugar. The student uses a Bunsen burner to heat both solutions. Which is the experimental variable? A) amount of water B) amount of sugar C) boiling point temperature D) height of the Bunsen burner flame

2 Answer B is correct The amount of sugar is the experimental variable in this case. As the amount of sugar changes, the boiling point changes. The amount of water is a control variable.

21 Critical Thinking A 15 year old male football player complains of pn in his hip off and on during the season. There is increasing hip and knee pain during movement. The athlete has restriction of hip abduction, flexion, and medial rotation. He is beginning to walk with a limp. What should be the concern in this 15yo and what steps should be taken to manage his condition.
