What Jesus’ resurrection proved
He was the Son of God – Romans 1:4 – …who was declared to be the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead. He defeated death – Acts 2:24 – God raised him up, putting an end to the agony of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. He can save us from sin’s penalty – Romans 5:10 – …we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. He can give you eternal life if you believe in him – John 11:25-26 – Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Luke 18:19 –… who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt (The Pharisees) Matthew 23: 28,29,33 – So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. 29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!... 33 You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell? Romans 10:3-4 – For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they (Jews) did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Galatians 2:21 – … if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:2-4 – By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures and that he appeared…
