Renewable resource A natural resource that is always available or replaced in less than 100 years. EX. Wind, sunlight, sometimes trees and water A: Nonrenewable Resource

Nonrenewable resource
Natural resource that can’t be replaced in 100 years. Ex: coal, oil, minerals, sometimes trees and water A: renewable resources

Sustainable Use Using a resource that keeps the resource at a certain quality for a period of time Ex. A river: maintaining a river for a certain amount of time

Ecological footprint The amount of land and water that people use to meet resource needs and absorb the waste Ex. Everything you do leaves a footprint

Conservation Practice of managing the use of resources wisely so they last longer Ex. Walking or riding a bicycle, turning water off while brushing teeth
