Availability - Segregate database issues from others, for example, if I installed the database on the StoreFront server and StoreFront were to crash, the database would also go down if a reboot were required
Performance - Competition with other resources doesn’t occur which would cause undesired performance
Manageability – Coordination is much easier as the environment isn’t shared.
