28 ISSUES Less number of children covered against Enrolment in Patna (38%), Nalanda (51%), Saran (20%), Bhojpur (37%), & Buxar (50%). Less number of days covered (129 against 187) whereas HP covered (192 against 190) . Less utilization of food grains (43%). No SSMC Meeting held. Less availability of FG (57%):- Purnia (24%), Vaishali (24%), Bhojpur(45%). Less Utilization of FG(43%) :- Kishanganj (17%), Khagaria(20%) & Madhepura (22%). Less coverage of children under SHP

29 Unavailability of rice and cooking cost in the visited schools.
MI ISSSUES : A.N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies (Districts covered : Jamui, Lakhisarai, Munger and Shekhpura) Unavailability of rice and cooking cost in the visited schools. Average quality of food grains are being provided. Buffer stock was not maintained in maximum schools. VSS is not formed in any school. Health Check- up was not done in any visited schools Food is cooked and kept in open and dirty ground. Poor quality of food items is often served. .

30 MI ISSSUES : Jamia Millia Islamia (Districts covered : EAST CHAMPARAN, GOPALGANJ, MADHEPURA, SUPAUL, WEST CHAMPARAN EAST CHAMPARAN : 1. 63% Visited schools were not getting regular food supply 2. 95% visited schools have not maintained health cards GOPALGANJ : (55%) visited did not received food - grains regularly. MADHEPURA : 1. Interruption in the midday meal in 11 (27.5%) of the schools due to the non supply of food grains. 2. Inspection is never done by any state authority SUPUAL: 1. Variation of 30% is found in enrolment and attendance was found in visited schools (95%) schools have not maintained health card WEST CHAMPARAN: (90.4%) schools have not maintained health card.
