Laser mode optimization for Hostaphane RNK 2600
Goal of optimization: Remove metallization and to do min PET irradiation Laser graver parameters: laser power laser pulses frequency lines per mm laser beam scan speed Optimization to do for stopped tape (speed v=0 mm/sec) Total: 21 samples 19-Jun-18 S.Movchan Straw manufacturing and QC 2

New straws: Hostaphan RNK 4600, Cu+Au Straws fabricate for tests: # 3684 – no metallization on one tape side # 3685 – no metallization on both tape sides # 3686 – no metallization on both tape sides # 3687 – no metallization on both tape sides Straw #3684÷3687: F=300 gram + P=20 a.u. Conclusion 2 types of test straws fabricated (from Hostaphan RNK 4600): - metallization removed from one tape edge (straw #3684) - metallization removed from both tape edges (straw # ( )) Straw tensile test results: Straw #3685: F=(6.0±0.5) kg dL=(11÷22) mm for old straws: F=(3.5-6) kg, dL=(1-10) mm, non stable results Gas leak tests – in progress 19-Jun-18 S.Movchan Straw manufacturing and QC 9
