2 Event Summary Featuring the FedEx NASCAR!
Teams of 25 members compete to pull a aircraft 12 feet in the fastest time Can’t find 25 people? Join the Friends of ACS Team or join as an individual and we’ll assign you to a team that is in need of members! Each individual commits to raise a minimum of $100 for the American Cancer Society ($2,500 per team) must bring to event to get wrist band MUST register for the event and also sign FedEx waiver in order to participate for security reasons Enjoy music by 95 Triple X, food and a chance to meet the defending champions: Heritage Aviation’s Pulling For Hope 2016 Team!

4 Pulling For Hope Tentative Agenda
Saturday, September 16, 2017 11:00 a.m. – FREE parking in the BTV parking lot on Airport Drive just past the parking garage. Shuttles will transport participants to and from the event site. (NO parking available onsite) 11:45 a.m. All teams/participants should be checked in 12:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies 12:15 – 2:15 p.m. Pulling For Hope teams compete 2:30 p.m. –  Awards and Closing Ceremony 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Food trucks Volunteers needed for Saturday; please contact: or

5 What to Expect: What to Expect:
* ALL participants must park at BTV and take shuttle from the designated FREE PARKING lot to event location due to security. * TEAM AREA: There will be tables and seating available, but you are welcome to bring camp chairs. No coolers are permitted. We have food vendors available in the parking lot. * CHECK IN: Please check in at registration when you arrive (first tent when you walk through entrance). Participants may turn in any offline pledges/donations at registration.  Credit cards will be accepted onsite. Team members who have not signed up online must register at the registration tent.  Waivers must be filled out and turned in by all participants in order to get your wristband to participate. All spectators must stay in the viewing and tent areas. SECURITY:  BTV will have security on site, and all participants are asked to stay within the event limits.  Please have a photo ID on you at all times.

6 The fun begins – pulling the plane!
* Each team will pull a 757 FedEx Plane 12 feet and will be allowed TWO pulls; the fastest time will be recorded. (fastest time is the winner!) * All teams are encouraged to get your team photo with the FedEx NASCAR! * All spectators must remain in the designated area. * Teams will be called to an “On Deck” area to prepare for their pull. Listen to our emcees and our volunteers for your team announcement and assemble quickly wearing your wristbands. * There will be gloves available for each participant, please be sure to return to the bins following your pull * The Pull:  Teams proceed to the designated starting area and position themselves at the rope.  The whistle will sound and time begins once the aircraft starts moving. Time ends as aircraft’s front landing gear reaches the 12 feet mark as determined by the Timekeeper. Stop pulling with the second whistle!!! * We will take another team photo by the aircraft after you complete the second pull.

7 Event Day Packing List:
Be sure to come to Pulling For Hope prepared! Registration Fees/Donations for team members that have not yet reached $100 Proper clothing for weather – dress in layers as it is sometimes windy on the tarmac! Outdoor camping chairs (no coolers or BBQ’s permitted – food trucks will be onsite) Sunscreen! (will be some onsite) T-shirts (event t-shirts will be available that day) Gloves will be provided (please be sure to return to the bin after your pull!) Closed toe sneakers Team identifiers (coordinated gear that team can wear for camaraderie – think hats, knee socks, capes or tutus – remember, there is a team spirit award!) Most of all… HAVE FUN!
