10. The Problem
Passport processing and collection for Nigerians living outside of Nigeria has been a collective nightmare for long periods and the Nigerian Immigration Service has not been able to remedy the situation.
Specifically, the challenges faced stems from
Limited number of embassies
Lack of efficiency in application processing
Associated cost of Passport Applications including travel, accommodation and lost income etc.
All these are indicators of declining internally generated revenue (IGR) for the government.

Imagine a very happy and satisfied Nigerian populace, who are patriotic and enthused about being Nigerians because they have access to fast and effective passport services without stress, and at the same time willing to help generate revenue for the government. In addition to generating revenue, Nigeria will also benefit from positive branding from satisfied citizens

12. The Solution
Satellite E-Passport Services – The satellite E-passport service is an initiative to create scheduled E-passport pre-registration offices that will allow Nigerians who would otherwise have travelled long distances, incurred exorbitant travel and accommodation costs or given up on passport applications or renewals, to have a chance to renew their passports without the current associated stress.

There are many advantages to bringing passport application and renewal services to the millions of Nigerians who live far from existing embassy locations e.g
Increase in fixed projectable income for the government by printing more passport booklets
Increase in fixed projectable income for the government from processing fees

15. Our Intent
Our company has successfully run pilot operations for the Nigerian Immigration Service in North American and it has been a resounding success.
This is borne out of our involvement to improve the lives of Nigerians living abroad through the organization of Nigerians living in North America.
We request that our organization be granted the concession to implement this initiative for Nigerians living abroad on behalf of the Nigerian Government.
We’ll work with the Ministry of Interior and the relevant authorities to ensure smooth delivery of this all important initiative starting with locations and countries that need this the most.
