When the Pilgrim Fathers arrived in 1620 they found the Native Indians and were helped by them to plant and cultivate crops.
After one year they had a big harvest and decided to celebrate it with a big lunch.

In 1863 Lincon decided to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday of November

4. BLACK FRIDAY
It is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States.
Since 1952, it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the U.S.
Most major retailers open very early (and more recently during overnight hours) and offer promotional sales.
Black Friday is not an official holiday, but California and some other states observe "The Day After Thanksgiving" as a holiday for state government employees.
