2. Manager role
The following process flows are described in this document. The yellow boxes in the process highlight the steps which the manager is involved in:

3. Initiate a Visa process for hiring a new Employee Manager Role
1. Staffing requests Cost and Time estimate to Fragomen
2. Fragomen provides time and cost estimates to HRS
3. HRS initiates approval workflow including time and cost estimates
4. Manager approves
5. HRG approves
Start
6. HRG notifies staffing of the candidate to be hired
7. Fragomen and Staffing execute LMO if required
8. Manager provides completed initiation form to HRS
9. HRS initiates case with Fragomen
End
Staffing will submit request for Cost and Time estimate to Fragomen
Fragomen will send recommendation & cost/time to HRS
HRS will initiate the approval workflow in the portal
You will receive and asking for your approval or rejection
If you reject, you will need to notify staffing of the rejected candidate
If you approve, HR will receive an asking for their approval or rejection
HRG will receive a notification requesting their approval
If HR rejects, they will need to notify you & the employee
If HR approves, a notification will be sent to HRS to initiate the case with Fragomen
HRG will need to advise staffing of the selected candidate to be hired
HRS will notify Fragomen to evaluate if a LMO is required
If positive LMO is required:
Staffing post the position on government job board (and other job boards)
Staffing tracks all candidates collected in the 14 days and provide disposition. Send disposition to HRS
HRS sends tracking and evidence of job posting effort to Fragomen
Fragomen Completes LMO application and submits to HRS for approval
HRS review and approve and send it back to Fragomen
Fragomen submits to LMO application with tracking and evidence to Service CAN
Service Canada evaluates application, and advise whether positive LMO is rendered
When positive LMO is rendered OR if LMO is not required, HRS will send you a visa initiation form to complete
You will need to complete the initiation form and it Fragomen and cc HRS )
Fragomen will initiate the process with the Candidate

4. Initiate a Visa process for extending a current Employee’s visa Manager Role
1. Fragomen or EE advises HRS of visa close to expire
2. HRS initiates approval workflow
3. Manager approves
4. HRG approves
5. Manager provides completed initiation form to HRS
6. Fragomen requests EE for documentation

7. EE submits documentation to Fragomen
8. Fragomen prepares case
9. HRS signs-off the case
10. Fragomen sends package to EE
11. EE submits application package at location specified by Fragomen
12. HRS update Visa record in PeS
End
Fragomen or Employee advises HRS that a Visa is close to the expiration date
HRS will initiate an approval workflow in the portal
You will receive an asking for your approval or rejection
If you reject, you will need to notify the employee & HR
If you approve, HR will receive an asking for their approval or rejection
HRG will receive a notification requesting their approval
If HRG rejects, they will need to notify you & the employee
If HRG approves, a notification will be sent to HRS to initiate the case with Fragomen
HRS will send you a visa initiation form to complete
You will need to complete the initiation form and it to Fragomen and cc HRS )
Fragomen will receive initiation form and send the employee an to complete documentation
Employee completes documentation and submits by
Fragomen sends letter of support and copy of application letter to HRS for approval signature
HRS review and send signed documents to Fragomen
Fragomen sends application package to the EE, or sends it to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
Once approved, the EE sends work permit copy to Fragomen
Fragomen notifies HRS with the status of the work permit
HRS updates Visa record in PeS
