1. Definition of computer?
Computer is a calculating and electronic device that accept data and instructions as input and uses the instructions to process and transform data into information.

2. Parts of computer and their functions.
1) C.P.U. 2) Monitor 3) Mouse
Functions:-
C.P.U= C.P.U. is the brain of computer. It controls the monitor.
Monitor; Monitor is used to see different things which are in computer.
Mouse; mouse is used to move the cursor bar and used to search many things which are loaded in computer.

3. Components of computer
Components of computer are
Input device, System unit, and out put device
Input device is are the devices that are used to provide input to a computer for processing some commonly input device are input devises are keyboard and mouse
System input are three parts are i)M.U ii) A.L.U iii) C.U
Out put device are the device that are used to display or print the results of data processing performed by a computer. Some commonly used output devices are i) V.D.U. ii) Printer

4. Hard ware and software
Hardware refers to does components of a computer that can be physically and touched
Example are:- Printer, keyboard, mouse, and the chips , diodes, wires etc
Software represent the set of program that make the computer work
Example are :- Windows 98, MS Word, MS PowerPoint etc

5. Applications of computer
Computer have became an integral part of our every day life. It is very difficult to imagine a world without them.
Applications of computer lies in the i) High speed, Accuracy, versatility, consistency and large storage that characterize computer ii) Their ability to work non-stop without together.

6. Production
In production, computers are used to maintain a check on the quality of goods produced. Computers also helps maintain sufficient stocks of raw materials it ensure uninterrupted production.

7. Sales
The production plans of an organization are always based in its previous sales performances. Computers help an organization to analyse the past sales figures and the present market trends.

8. Education
Computers are being increasingly used to impart knowledge on a variety of topics in a systematic manner. Computer based learning (CBL) facilitates interactive learning sessions and breaks the monotony of classroom
teaching. It also allows a student to learn and assimilate knowledge at a place suited to him/her. Moreover, with the growth of internet, extensive information on any topic has become easily accessible.
