The course provides knowledge of basic Petroleum Economics. Participants will understand the project commercial viewpoint and the ideas to change the principle to get better financial results. Also, participants will be able to run the cash flow analysis with the project sensitivity in order understand the project viability and profitability impacts under the change of those project’s critical elements.

The Time Value of Money: Cash Flow Patterns and Discounting
Investment Decision Criteria: Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Profitability Index, Other criteria
Project Hurdle Rate: Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC)
