2. TOPIC:ORTHOPAEDIC DISORDERS OF THE STIFLE JOINT
INTRODUCTION
The stifle joint is the homolog of the human knee in the quadruped.
It is made up of the femorotibial and femoropatellar joints.
The joint consists of three synovial compactments:
► femoropatellar
► medial femorotibial
► lateral femorotibial

Rupture of cruciate ligament (cranial/caudal)
Meniscal tears
Ostochondritis Dissecans

5. OSTOCHONDRITIS DISSECANS
It’s a disturbance of the endochondral ossification
