The Beginning of Job’s Calamities 1:13-19
Two series of evil events Loss of herds and flocks and the servants who tended them Loss of his 10 children Two were from the hands of evil men Two were from the forces of nature Sabeans – Arab bedouins, a tribe of wandering raiders from the south Chaldeans – a tribe of wandering raiders from the north.
