3 These Tests Are Not Free
SAT with writing (recommended) $57 ACT with writing (recommended) $58.50 Students that receive free or reduce lunch are eligible for fee waivers.

4 Why Should I Take the SAT/ACT?
They are required for admissions to universities FSA concordant scores to receive your high school diploma To qualify for a Bright Futures Scholarship To avoid having to take remedial courses in college

5 Fee Waivers Two ACT Test Waivers Two SAT Test Waivers
Students participating in the free or reduced lunch program can receive waivers to pay for tests and college applications: Two ACT Test Waivers Two SAT Test Waivers Two SAT Subject Test Waiver (if needed) Up to eight College Application Waivers (If you take both the SAT and the ACT tests). Fee waivers can ONLY be used for ON TIME REGISTRATION. ACT fee waivers cannot be used for late registrations.

10 What Are The Required Scores?
Each college/university has their own admissions requirements based on test scores and GPA To be exempt from remedial courses you need: SAT Critical Reading 500 Math ACT – 17 - English 19 - Reading 19 - Math These test scores will probably NOT get you into a university Send your scores at time of registration or before scores come out

HHS Codes CEEB: ACT Test Center Code: We are not an SAT testing center Athletes applying to a Division I or II Schools MUST fill out an NCAA or NAIA Form. See Mr. Legg in room Visit National Collegiate Athletic Association or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics

12 YOU CAN NOT USE THE PERT FOR ENTRANCE TO A UNIVERSITY
Two-Year COLLEGE PLACEMENT TEST If you do not have the required SAT/ACT scores, you can use the following PERT scores to be exempt from remedial courses at a 2-year college YOU CAN NOT USE THE PERT FOR ENTRANCE TO A UNIVERSITY PERT Reading Writing 103 Math 114 IMPORTANT: Please visit periodically for updates and changes.

Application (name of the school.edu) Transcript : electronic or hard copy (see Ms. Tamargo, in the Principal’s Office transcripts cost $1.00) Letters of recommendation (if required) Essay (if required) Application fee Copies of required documentation for Florida residency Important! Keep photocopies of everything you mail!

20 Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program provides scholarships based on high school academic achievement The Program offers three levels of scholarship awards – Florida Academic Scholars Florida Medallion Scholars Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars To be considered, a student must submit a completed Florida Financial Aid Application during the last year in high school (after October 1st and prior to graduation) Eligibility requirements can be viewed at: Award amounts can be viewed at:
