8 Enrollment Reminders Annual Enrollment Opens Monday, October 16, 2017 and Ends at Midnight (Pacific) on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 Less Than Full-Time Employees Employees On Waived Coverage Comp Time HSA, FSA & DCSA Elections

9 Less Than Full-Time Employees
Employees that are less than full-time (1 FTE) must make an active election during annual enrollment or you will be defaulted into waived coverage. This requirement is to ensure compliance with Health Care Reform

10 Full-time Employees on Waived Coverage
Full-time employees on waived coverage should review election during annual enrollment and provide proof of other coverage if waiving coverage for 2018. You are required to provide proof of other coverage within 30 days to avoid being defaulted into the High Deductible Health Plan for Employee Only. If your other coverage is through a spouse who is also a University employee, please provide the full name of your spouse to Benefit Services in lieu of additional documentation.

11 Comp Time Applies to classified (hourly) employees.
Comp Time elections must be made EVERY year during annual enrollment via VandalWeb. If you do not actively elect to accrue your overtime hours into a comp time bank you will automatically be defaulted to paid as earned. Comp Time elections CANNOT be changed during the year. Changes are only allowed during annual enrollment for the next calendar year.

12 HSA, FSA & DCSA Elections
Annual election is required for you to participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or the Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA). Prior elections do not roll over, you must re-elect to contribute. Indicate the ANNUAL amount you are electing to contribute. HSA, FSA & DCSA will default to $0.00 if an election is not made.

13 How to Enroll Step by step instructions are available in the Interactive Enrollment Guide located on the 2018 Annual Enrollment webpage. If you experience a qualified life event from October 16, 2017 to the end of the year, you MUST re-complete your 2018 Annual Enrollment Event. This only applies to qualified life events. If you finalize your benefit elections and then go back into the enrollment system to review and/or change your elections, you MUST re-finalize the event. If you don’t, your benefit elections will revert to incomplete.

15 Under the Benefits label, click/tap myBenefits, click/tap myBenefits again.

22 Documentation Required
If you are adding a dependent that is not currently covered on the plan, you will be required to provide proof of relationship. If you are electing life insurance that triggers you to submit Evidence of Insurability, please complete the form on-line or print and mail directly to The Standard for processing.

What are your health coverage needs for 2018? What life-events are expected during 2018 that may affect your coverage needs? What are your prescription needs? What do you need to do if using a co-pay assistance card? Do you have any special medical needs? Any potential for Air Ambulance?
