What New Year’s Resolution could be more important than a growing relationship with God?
The Lord always wants to take us further in our walk with Him

2. John 8:
3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him.

Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.

The Lord always wants to take us further in our walk with Him
A woman caught in adultery
We all sin, and feel “unworthy” before God. (feel dirty; unwanted; unloved; hopeless)
Jesus gives us a new beginning. There is no stain of sin that cannot be removed. Go and sin no more.

6. John 21:15 …. , “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these
John 21:15 …., “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

7. Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

“Do you agape love me more than anything else?” (a love of the will, selfless, a love like God has for us) “I phileo love you.” (love like a brother)
“Do you agape me?” “I phileo you.”
“Do you phileo me?” “You know it. I phileo you.”
