CERA is an automated visualization tool for storm surge and wave guidance during hurricanes Predicts water heights and flooding in coastal areas in real-time during active tropical storm conditions Visual presentation of storm modeling results on interactive CERA websites Automated workflows on high-end compute resources Uses the Google Maps interface - easy to use Web based results used by emergency managers, NOAA, GOHSEP, DHS, Coastal Guard, CPRA Supported by Louisiana’s Sea Grant College Program and Coastal Hazards Center of Excellence, NC Intensely used during SANDY, ISAAC (2012), IRENE (2011) Received DHS Impact Award in Nov. 2012
