AOC Breakout FY 16: GLRI Budget = $300M AOC Program Total = $94M
GLLA/AOC Base - $85M (multi-Agency) AOC Technical Support - $4M (multi-Agency) State AOC Program Capacity - $5M (EPA) The AOC budget includes 4 major components: GLLA is the largest single GLRI line item at $40 million, because cleaning up contaminated rivers is very expensive. The AOC base budget includes all non GLLA projects needed to remediate and restore BUIs and AOCs, such as habitat restoration, and this also includes BUI verification work. This is $30 million and is distributed among the federal partners. AOC technical support is also distributed to the federal partners to work with longer term AOCs, where for example they are still putting together overall plans. Examples of tech support include the Corp conducting feasibility studies to find the best sites to work on in an AOC or USFWS conducting a high quality wetland study at Rochester to identify best bets for wetland protection. This is $3 million total. Finally we have capacity assistance to our States to support their AOC program staff, plus funding to help with local outreach and some limited sampling and analysis.

Path To Delisting Delisting Goal: Remove BUI:
