1. DEVELOPING CAREER PLANS WITH STUDENTS
Meet with each junior and senior on an individual basis starting with the seniors first.
Perform a credit evaluation with seniors, complete a new/updated career objective, and survey “current” future plans. Provide direction in terms of SAT readiness, applications, and use of Educationplanner.org.
Counselors are beginning use with the Kuder career planning system which should start to follow our students from their home school and continue their career plan via LCCTC. We will begin giving the Kuder Assessments to students in their vocational programs once we are accustomed to the program.
Monthly guidance newsletters that include testing information and a career of the month section (usually related to LCCTC’s vocational programs).
