Earlier, we learned about ten different types of government. Class representative, pick ten people to line up and speak. _ _ _ _ _

3 Step 2 Explicit Vocabulary

5 Step 4 Rubric adjustment
Have you ever given an oral presentation? What are you going to be graded on? What is the most important part of a presentation? Brainstorm with the people next to you only. I will call on people around the room to deliver what their neighbors think the class will be graded on.

This next paper tells you exactly how you will be graded on your oral report. There are a few choices we get to make along the way, so listen with your pencil out.

7 Step 5 Government of the United States
Please find your COMPARISON CHART paper. With the help of the class representative, we are going to fill in the blanks for the United States. We are going to avoid one word answers; add additional details if the answer seems to be one word. Class representative, do not move on to the next box until you have a class consensus on an answer for the first box.

8 Step 6 Media Center Research Expectations
I will be putting you in groups shortly. Once you have your country and your group, I will stop broadcasting to your computers. At that time, you will need to log out and move to be near your groups. If I see that you are not focused on research, you will be reassigned to a new country for your report. Your new assignment will be a solo report instead of a group report.
