3. Reasons why teenagers may commit crimes
In your groups place the following reasons into order from most likely to least likely: Be ready to feedback in ten minutes.
emotional immaturity
peer pressure
lack of empathy
a desire for excitement
to buy drugs or alcohol
poverty

4. Presentation
Your job is to create a presentation on how media influences young people to commit crime.

5. Preventing Youth Crime
There are many different methods and organisations that try to reduce Youth Crime.
Some organizations and individuals believe that more positive approaches are effective like, providing teenagers with activities to do.
Others believe that teenagers should be fearful of what the consequences of their criminal actions will be and argue that long sentences in a Youth Prison are more appropriate.

In your groups create a spider-diagram/thought-shower of possible ways that you think would reduce Youth Crime. Be ready to feedback in ten minutes.
Nominate a representative who will feed back your strongest idea to the whole class that will go in our class recommendation letter to the Home Office.
