4 What is a dictatorship? Autocratic form of government ruled by single individual with unlimited power  An authoritarian regime in which civil rights and freedom are restricted to the extreme of a society under permanent, surveillance and state terrorism.

5 How does a dictatorship effect its people?
Lack of human rights; often little reduction in poverty  Permanent fear, insecurity, lack of trust on others, for example, on your own class mates

6 What rights are most commonly suppressed in dictatorships?
Freedom of expression The right of elections and political freedom, of meetings and civil associations, and the right of civil defense under the military law  

7 Are there dictatorships that have worked well for the people of its country?
“This is not possible in so far as democracy and freedom are not allowed by the order and command of a minority in power”

8 What is the most atrocious, current or past, dictatorship?
Hitler  and Nazi Germany. Pinochet's dictatorship- 3 thousand people disappeared by the action of the political police and intelligence services, clandestine organizations led directly by Pinochet; more than 200,000 were arrested and tortured, among them, children, and elderly people. In some cases, entire families were killed. More than a million were sent to exile, Priests, teachers, academics, women workers, nuns, workers, peasants, Mapuche indigenous people, gay people were murdered. All were under suspicion, it was a terrifying regime of life.

Who are usually the people most abused by the powers of a dictatorship? Minorities; women and children  Organized Workers, trade unions, women organizations, student movements, democratic and Leftist political organizations.

10 How can a dictatorship affect a country’s international relations?
Reduced or no development cooperation; lack of economic growth opportunities   It affects a lot, the regime is permanent condemned by the international community and its economy is affected by interruption of trade with dictatorships from democratic regimes

11 does the U.S. constitution protect against a dictatorship?
One person one vote at least for the House of Representatives; Freedom of speech; free public education for all  By guaranteeing civil rights, democracy and human rights.

12 Conclusions In my interviews, I learned a lot about the atrocities of dictatorships. I also learned a lot about how the United States Constitution protects from a dictatorship. We must continue to protect our rights. If we don’t, we fall risk to becoming a dictatorship. We must not tolerate suppressed rights in our country, or others.
