WHAT IS A PREPOSITIONAL PHRASE?
A prepositional phrase starts with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. The preposition is used to show the connection between the noun/pronoun and another word in the sentence. Example: I was watching television last night and working on a PowerPoint. The prepositional phrase in the sentence is [on a PowerPoint]. It shows a relationship between the verb working and the noun PowerPoint. Therefore, the prepositional phrase [on a PowerPoint] is an adverb phrase. It is modifying the verb WORKING
