Encoder Module – ㈜가나 Operates with all MM440 inverters with software version P2 and higher Fits directly onto I/O module; Profi and BOP/AOP may be used. HTL/TTL; 5V, 18V supply available. Operates in Vector control mode Encoder option will work with Profibus unit as well.
3
Connections ㈜가나 Link connections to select supply/ encoder type A, not A, B, not B, connections from Encoder Protective Earth Z connection is for later expansion. Positioning is not possible with MM440 Z Connection is not used Screen Connection

LED Indicators ㈜가나 Channel A and B lights flash to show encoder signals present LEDs flash at speed of pulses, so can only be seen at very low speed. Z light in on all the time.

Parameter settings ㈜가나 053-604-1629
r0061 Rotor Speed Indicates the speed of the rotor. Used to check that the system is working correctly. r0090 Rotor Angle Indicates the current angle of the rotor. This function is not available on single input channel encoders. P0400[3] Encoder Type 1 = Single Input Channel (A) 2 = Double Channel (A+B) r0061 is the most useful here.

Parameter settings ㈜가나 053-604-1629
r0403 Encoder Status bit This parameter will indicate if the signal from the encoder is healthy (bit 2) P0408[3] Encoder pulses per revolution Specifies the number of encoder pulses per revolution. P0491 Reaction on speed loss 0 = trip F0090 1 = Go to SVC with warning 0590; trip F0090 on stop to aid indication. P0492[3] Allowed Speed Difference Selects the allowable difference in calculated speed signals between samples before it is considered to have lost the speed signal feedback. P0494 Speed Difference Filter Applies a filter to P0492 P1300 = 21 Closed loop Speed control with Vector control P1300 = 23 Closed loop Torque control with Vector control P0491 and P0492 can be a little sensitive and should be checked for warnings during operation. Closed loop torque control is also possible.

Stabilising the system ㈜가나 053-604-1629
P1960 Auto tune Enable the auto tune to tune the speed loop (P1300=21or 23; 20 and 22 will tune system without the encoder) [sets the P term only] P1460 Gain Speed Controller This parameter sets the gain of the speed controller; it is set automatically during the autotuning. P1462 Integral time Speed Controller This parameter sets the gain of the speed controller; it is set automatically during the autotuning. [P1470 and P1472 set the Sensorless closed loop operation] Note difference between speed controller signals P1460,1462 are the closed loop speed controller settings
11
Setting Up ㈜가나 Connect encoder; check lights flash when motor moves. Carry out quick commissioning. P1300=20. Carry out SVC commissioning (P1910=1,3 etc. See FAQ) Set P0400 to enable encoder. Set P0408 to the correct pulses per revolution. Run motor. Check the value in r0061 corresponds closely to actual output frequency, including direction. Set P1300 = 21. Speed loop is now closed. Stabilise if necessary with auto tune (P1960), or manual settings (P1460, 62) FAQ #
