Powerpoint by Sarah Moje via

2 What Is Tir Na Nog? A legendary place in Irish folklore, Tir Na Nog is a mythical Irish land, not of this earth. It’s name translates to Land of the Ever Young. In Tir Na nOg the trees are constantly in bloom as if it is late spring or summer. The leaves never fall or die. The flowers are in constant bloom as well, and you can smell the scent of them miles away. Humans from Ireland who are able to visit Tir Na Nog will only discover young, beautiful people living there. The residents are not humans, but fairies.

6 The Land of the Ever Young
In Tir Na nOg people don’t live forever, but they do age very, very slowly. In most legends, it is a wonderful place to live, as long as you don’t leave it. Once you leave this land and return to Ireland, you will immediately become the age you were supposed to be; usually a very old person

8 The Dark Side of Tir Na Nog
In some darker Irish legends the people of Tir Na nOg managed to maintain their youth by sucking the youth, fun and vigor out of children in Ireland. However, that is not a common theme in the legend. The residents of Tir Na nOg were fairies but were not pixies or changelings. They could only reside in Tir Na nOg. If they left for any length of time, they would die a mortal death.
