Reston, VA, Tax Map #26-4 Overview: Approximately 800 linear feet from South Lakes Drive to Lake Audubon. Approximately 49 acre drainage area with 43% impervious surface area. Evaluated in October 2015 as part of annual potential project scoping process. Stream is incised with bank heights ranging from 3 to 7 feet. Three private sewer laterals and five sections of county sewer main are exposed. Stream was determined to be in poor overall condition and unstable. Funding Process: Wakerobin stream could potentially be funded for design in FY17 county budget. Fairfax County budget under consideration through early April 2016. Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to approve FY17 budget in April 2016. If selected, initial survey and design concept development July through December 2016. Design concept selected January 2017. Further action dependent upon securing land rights.
