3 Attendance/tardiness
BE HERE AND BE ON TIME A Pattern of Non-Attendance occurs when there are 5 or more absences in a quarter. If it’s 8:00 when you are walking into the building, you are LATE! High Expectations for ALL Extra Time for Traffic

4 Parent Portal- new! Report Absences online (Doctors Note needed if over 2 days) Report a change of pick-up online (Need 6 digit pin- Register with Ms. Janet for the option)

5 Arrival & dismissal Arrival Time 7:45AM Start Time 8:00AM
Breakfast 7:30-7:50AM Elementary Dismissal Time2:00PM (STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP ON TIME!!!) NO SIBLING CARE FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL SIBLINGS. YOU MUST SIGN YOUR CHILD UP FOR JCC AFTERCARE OR PAJE Middle School Dismissal Time3:00PM Carpool Please follow route. Your child may not walk by themselves from the side parking lot. If you will be walking them in, you must PARK! NO CELL PHONE USE DURING CARPOOL!

6 ADOPTION OF BROWARD COUNTY GRADEBOOK- PINNACLE
PARENTS OF K-5 STUDENTS WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO VIEW STUDENT GRADES. THIS IS A NORM FOR BROWARD COUNTY. Middle School Parents WILL have access to Pinnacle. Visit our website for instructions on how to log in to Pinnacle. WAYS TO CONTINUE MONITORING YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS: - 2 Required Parent Conferences per year (K-5) - Sign up for Teacher websites to keep updated - Progress Reports sent out 4 times per year - Contact teachers by /phone - Request additional conferences if necessary - Monitor agenda for any teacher notes home

8 Parent involvement PTO $5 to Join - Fundraisers
- Fund school technology programs - Volunteer Hours - SO MUCH MORE!!! (See PTO president, Lindsay Feldman for more info) School Advisory Council (SAC)- See Ms. Lynn Berry to sign up Become part of our SAC Get involved with our school improvement plan Gives parents a voice for concerns and input to our academic plans as a school. Get first hand info on analyzing our school grade & data.

USE YOUR CHECKLIST TO GET ALL NECESSARY ITEMS FOR YOUR CHILD INCLUDING AGENDAS, PE UNIFORMS, SPIRIT SHIRTS, ETC. IMPORTANT: LET YOUR TEACHER KNOW HOW YOUR CHILD IS GETTING HOME FROM SCHOOL
