Measurements of chest wall thickness and thickness of adipose tissue were taken perpendicularly to the chest wall at the point of intersection between body surface and the angle bisector of sagittal-axis and coronal-axis right and left (Points 1 and 5), parasternal right and left (Points 2 and 4), and directly over the sternum (Point 3). Measuring points in the plane over the left ventricle (LV) were defined in the same way.
