John Winthrop
He was the first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony and a prominent figure among the Puritan founders of New England. Winthrop was one of the best educated of the Puritan colonist.
Thomas Dudley
He was one of the signers of the agreement to form the Massachusetts Bay Company. On Oct. 20, he became one of the five officers to come to America with the Royal Charter.
