Programmes are getting to the right people in the right regions and industries – but it is supply driven Providers need to work hard to get employers underway with programmes – because of the time it takes and employers’ lack of awareness of workplace issues caused by literacy and numeracy Stakeholders and industry associations lack awareness and do not know where to go for help. Promoting the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Fund to employers Working with WPLN providers and ITOs to develop good practice strategies for introducing and maintaining workplace literacy and numeracy programmes Developing and carrying out a research programme to support employer engagement with workplace literacy and numeracy Acknowledging employers who have successfully introduced workplace literacy and numeracy training through the Skills Highway Award 

6 Employer-led WPLN Fund
The Fund helps employers provide high-quality literacy and numeracy programmes that are customised for their workplace and which help address productivity opportunities or problems that have their root causes in literacy and numeracy issues among employees. ‘Solving your business problem with literacy and numeracy upskilling must be at the centre of a successful application’.

EEO Trust Diversity Awards Skills Highway Award This award celebrates organisations which recognise the importance of numeracy and literacy in adding value to the workforce and develop initiatives to assist their employees with fundamental foundation skills. Call for Entries is open!
